Julie (Adams) Edwards has spent the past three years courageously battling end-stage renal failure, undergoing dialysis treatments three times a week while facing each challenge with remarkable strength and grace. Today, she made the difficult decision to enter hospice care, and her doctor has indicated that her remaining time may be limited. Throughout her journey, Julie has been surrounded by the love of her family, friends, and her faith community in Missouri, where she was raised and spent much of her life.
Over the past year, her niece Kate has served as her primary caregiver, witnessing firsthand the profound impact Julie has had on those around her. With the support of her husband, Kate has been dedicated to ensuring Julie’s comfort and honoring her wishes during this time. Julie’s kindness, faith, and resilience have left a lasting impression on everyone who knows her.
In anticipation of her passing, Kate and her husband are organizing a celebration of life in Missouri, a place that held deep meaning for Julie. The gathering is intended to bring together loved ones to remember and honor her life, her faith, and the connections she cherished so deeply. Funds raised will help cover travel expenses, as well as costs associated with the service, including the venue, flowers, and music. Any remaining funds will assist Julie’s husband with cremation expenses in Oklahoma. Support through donations or sharing the fundraiser is deeply appreciated.
